Charlie Schlatter was born on May 1, 1966, in the charming town of Englewood, located in the state of New Jersey. It was during his junior high school years that he discovered his passion for acting, a spark that would eventually ignite a lifelong journey in the world of entertainment. His initial foray into acting was prompted by a romantic interest in a fellow student, whom he sought to impress by auditioning for the school play "Oliver". To his delight, his audition was a resounding success, and he landed the leading role, thereby launching his acting career.
Charlie's academic pursuits took him to Ithaca College, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in musical theater. During his time at the college, he honed his acting skills by starring in numerous plays and developed his musical talents by learning to play the guitar, drums, and piano. Summers were spent appearing in summer stock productions, providing him with valuable experience and exposure.
One of his performances, a rendition of George Bernard Shaw's "Misalliance", caught the attention of a casting director, who was impressed by his talent and invited him to audition for the 1988 film "Bright Lights, Big City". This marked Charlie's first professional audition, and he successfully landed a role as the younger brother of Michael J. Fox's character.
Fast forward to 1994, Charlie tied the knot with his lovely wife, Colleen, a publicist and life coach. Together, they have three children and currently reside in southern California, where they enjoy a comfortable and fulfilling life.
