Cheryl Lee Porter, a dynamic individual, was born in Mayfield, Kentucky, and relocated to North Carolina at the tender age of three. Her childhood was spent in Fuquay-Varina, a quaint town nestled outside of Raleigh, where she developed a strong foundation for her future endeavors.
As she grew older, Cheryl returned to her birthplace of Kentucky to pursue higher education at Morehead State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in education. Following her graduation, she embarked on a two-year teaching career before embarking on a new path.
Cheryl's husband's naval career took them to various locations, and in 1979, they returned to Raleigh, North Carolina. It was during this time that she began to nurture her passion for acting, making her debut in 2004 with a memorable performance as Ouiser in Theatre in the Park's production of Steel Magnolias.
In 2006, Cheryl signed with a local agent, marking the beginning of her professional acting journey. Her personal life is filled with love and joy, as she is the proud mother of two grown children, who now reside in Oklahoma. Her family is further blessed with two adorable grandchildren who bring immense happiness to her life.
In early 2015, Cheryl made the bold decision to relocate to Oklahoma, allowing her to be closer to her family and strengthen her bond with them. Shortly after her move, she signed with a prestigious agency, paving the way for new opportunities and experiences in her acting career.
