Chip Chuipka, a Northern Ontario native, was born and raised in the vast expanse of the Great White North. As a child, he nurtured a dream of soaring into the cosmos, becoming an astronaut, and indulging in the joys of his childhood. An exemplary student during his high school years, Chip earned top grades, which paved the way for his future academic pursuits.
Upon completing his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Toronto, with a focus on parasites, Chip embarked on a two-year journey across Canada. During this time, he honed his skills in various vocations, including carpentry, truck driving, tree planting, and even bartending. His impressive resume would eventually lead him into the world of acting.
Chip's acting journey began with training at the University of Saskatchewan under the guidance of renowned theatre expert, Henry Woolf, a long-time collaborator of Peter Brook. In 1988, he relocated to Montreal, where he has since appeared in over 100 stage productions and numerous television shows, including the popular Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Urban Angel, and Big Wolf on Campus, among many others.
Chip's filmography boasts a diverse range of titles, including the underrated thriller Deadly Surveillance, the stylish sequel Scanners III: The Takeover, the box-office hit Snake Eyes, the Roddy Piper-starring vehicle Marked Man, the direct-to-video science fiction movie Sci-Fighters, and the comedy If Looks Could Kill, among many others.
As of 2003, Chip, a seasoned acting instructor, has established an acting studio in Montreal, where he continues to teach and act to this day.
