Chris Fisher, also known as 'Fish', was born in Pasadena, California, in the year 1971, marking the beginning of a life that would take him on a journey of creative expression. As a child, he spent time overseas, but eventually returned to California, where he attended high school in the picturesque coastal city of Newport Beach.
Fisher's academic pursuits took him to the University of Southern California (USC),where he earned his undergraduate and law degrees. However, his true calling lay in the world of entertainment, and he went on to participate in the prestigious William Morris training program.
As an independent filmmaker, Fisher made a name for himself by writing, producing, or directing three films that premiered in the Sundance Midnight Madness section: 'Taboo', 'Nightstalker', and 'Spun'. This impressive feat solidified his reputation as a genre filmmaker.
Over the next decade, Fisher continued to hone his craft, producing and directing five more genre films, including 'Hillside Strangler', 'Dirty', 'S.Darko', 'Street Kings Motor City', and 'Meeting Evil'.
