Chris Jai Alex is a talented individual from Lansing, Michigan, who was born into a family with a strong passion for music. His mother, Gloria Sanford, was an aspiring artist who had minor success and even appeared on a TV show, but unfortunately, she never achieved mainstream recognition. Despite this, she dedicated her life to nurturing her sons' creative talents, particularly Chris Jai's.
From a young age, Chris Jai showed a natural flair for music and taught himself to play the piano, guitar, and produce music using MIDI software. He went on to form several music groups, with the last one being Mirage, which enjoyed local success and even performed with renowned artists such as Wanya Morris from Boys II Men.
After his mother's passing, Chris Jai moved to New York to pursue a career in music production under the guidance of a renowned music industry professional. However, this endeavor did not work out, and he eventually returned to Michigan.
Chris Jai and his brother Seyque then founded an independent record label called Phineqx Entertainment (PE),which would go on to become the most successful record label in Lansing, Michigan's history. The label's first release, "PE2003," sold over 4,000 copies, while various mix tapes sold over 47,000 copies.
The label's success allowed Chris Jai and his team to relocate to Los Angeles, California, where they continued to create music and gain an international following. Chris Jai is also an avid learner and has taught himself Japanese.
Inspired by the movie X2: X-Men United, Chris Jai made the bold decision to move to LA, where he and his friends shared a small apartment on Hollywood Boulevard. He later moved in with his partner, Sachiko Ishida.
Chris Jai's fascination with martial arts led him to study the art informally at LA Valley College, where he discovered his passion for martial arts acting and stunts. He trained with world-class athletes, including Wayne Daglish, a fellow filmmaker and frequent collaborator.
Chris Jai's skills in martial arts and stunts eventually led him to train at the renowned 8711 studio under the guidance of Chad Stahelkshi, who has worked on numerous Hollywood blockbusters, including The Matrix series and 300.
In addition to his work in martial arts and stunts, Chris Jai has also pursued a career in voice-over work, signing with Osbrink Agency and providing voices for video games and animation. He has also animated characters using motion capture technology and continues to hone his craft by learning new languages and working on his own film projects.
Chris Jai's impressive career is a testament to his dedication, creativity, and perseverance. He continues to act, produce, and score his own films, as well as work on various outside projects, and is currently learning three new languages simultaneously.
