Chris L. McKenna, born on October 18, 1977, in Queens, New York, embarked on his acting journey at the tender age of 7 when he stumbled upon a school flier announcing auditions for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. With his parents' permission, he auditioned and landed the role of Dopey, sparking a lifelong passion for acting.
As he grew older, McKenna transitioned to television at the age of 12, making his debut on the daytime series One Life to Live, which premiered in 1968. During his three-year stint on the show, he had the unique distinction of portraying Joey Buchanan, the best friend to daytime drama's first gay teen, played by Ryan Phillippe.
Throughout his time on the show, McKenna received numerous award nominations, including a Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Child Actor and two Young Artist Awards for Best Young Actor In A Soap Opera and Best Young Actor In A Daytime Series.
