She began her acting career at the age of six, starring in films like Der schweigende Engel (1954),Ein Herz schlägt für Erika (1956),and Rosen-Resli (1954). Her career was cut short due to puberty, and she relocated to Rome with her mother, where she continued to act in films like The Last Days of Pompeii (1959) and Town Without Pity (1961).
