Christopher Cano is a multifaceted individual with a diverse range of professions and passions. Born and raised in Southern California, specifically in El Monte, CA, Chris's early life was marked by a strong foundation in acting, which he discovered while in high school.
Although he did not initially pursue a career in acting due to the need to secure a steady job to support his family, Chris's love for the craft never truly faded. He continued to try his hand at acting sporadically, albeit mostly limited to background roles.
Today, Chris is a dedicated and experienced police officer, having served with a local police department in Southern California for an impressive 22 years. Throughout his tenure, he has held various ranks, including lieutenant and SWAT Commander, and has had the opportunity to work in a range of capacities, from patrol officer to detective, narcotics detective, motor officer, Internal Affairs, corporal, sergeant, and currently, Investigations Bureau Commander.
In addition to his work as a police officer, Chris is also a trained firefighter and paramedic, and he works part-time for a fire department near Pasadena, CA. This dual profession has undoubtedly provided him with a unique set of skills and experiences that he can draw upon in his acting career.
Chris's resurgence into began acting when his daughter, Jordan Cano, a make-up artist, invited him to join the set of the independent film M.F.A. Initially, Chris was asked to provide technical advice on a murder scene, but he was soon asked to participate in the scene itself. This marked the beginning of his acting career, and he has since appeared in several films and projects, including Blood and Tales of Morrissa.
When asked about his enthusiasm for acting, Chris is filled with excitement and a sense of purpose. He is drawn to playing cops and detectives, and his ultimate goal is to bring a sense of realism to these roles, making them a source of pride for law enforcement professionals.
