Christopher Dempsey, a seasoned professional in both the stage and screen, hails from Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he spent his formative years alongside his childhood in Santa Fe. Throughout his life, Christopher has resided in various parts of the United States, as well as abroad, allowing him to broaden his horizons and gain a unique perspective on the world.
Christopher's journey in the entertainment industry began at a tender age, when he first set foot on stage at The Santa Fe Playhouse in the late 1970s. After honing his craft at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts West, he spent several years working behind the camera, absorbing every aspect of the production process.
His extensive experience includes a range of roles, from Producer and Director to Assistant Director, Production/Art Designer, Production Coordinator, Property Master, Boom Operator, and numerous PA gigs.
Despite his extensive experience behind the camera, Christopher's true passion lies in acting. In 2006, he returned to his roots in New Mexico and has since appeared in numerous film and television productions, including the critically acclaimed AMC series "Breaking Bad".
Born Christopher Velasquez, Christopher was adopted by his step-father and chose to take his current surname, Dempsey. His diverse background is further enriched by his service in the United States Army Reserve as a Combat Medical Specialist and his stint as a member of the Los Angeles Police Department, where he spent almost five years.
Both his military and law enforcement experience have provided Christopher with a wealth of personal and professional knowledge, which he has leveraged to excel in his acting career.
