Chris Goodman was born in Izmir, Turkey to Maria Aliberti, an Italian national, and Wayne Goodman, a United States Air Force employee. His father's military career led to brief stations in Karamursel, Turkey, and Bitburg, Germany, before the family settled in Midwest City, Oklahoma, near Tinker Air Force Base.
Growing up, Chris attended Nicoma Park school, where he excelled in various sports, earning seven varsity athletic letters and finishing 12th in the state of Oklahoma in tennis. He also served on four student councils, was selected as an All-State actor, and played football and basketball from second grade through junior high.
After graduating from Choctaw High School, Chris enrolled at Penn State University, initially as a Theater Major, but later shifted his focus to International Politics and finally Political Science. During his time at Penn State, he was involved in various extracurricular activities, including serving as 'Worthy Chaplain' for his fraternity, Alpha Tau Omega, and participating in sketch competitions, Homecoming Committees, and Dance Marathons. He also sailed around the world on 'Semester at Sea' and was chosen as a "Man of Penn State" in his senior year.
After graduating, Chris returned to Oklahoma and started a company with his childhood friends. He later moved in with his grandparents, Ed and Veda Goodman, and was with them during their final year of life. Tragically, they both passed away within nine days of each other.
Chris continued to work as a caterer and substitute teacher, while also building a sports memorabilia business with his partners. However, his life took a dramatic turn when a truck bomb exploded in downtown Oklahoma City. Through his catering boss, Chris and his friends managed volunteers and ran the food service line in the Myriad Convention Center, feeding firefighters and rescue workers for three straight days.
After a year in the restaurant and bar business, Chris left Oklahoma City to pursue an acting career in Paris, France.
