Christopher Knight, born November 7, 1957, in Manhattan, New York, is a former child actor best known for his role as Peter Brady in the classic TV show The Brady Bunch. As a reluctant icon, Christopher has pursued a career in the corporate world of computers and high technology.
Growing up, Christopher's family moved to Los Angeles, where his father, Edward Knight, began seeking auditions for his two oldest sons to save money for their college education. Christopher and his older brother Mark tried out, but only Christopher was offered parts. At the age of seven, he began landing appearances in commercials and television shows.
Christopher's breakout role came when he was cast as Peter Brady in The Brady Bunch, which aired from 1969 to 1974. The show was highly popular and acquired instant syndication, remaining on the airways for decades.
After The Brady Bunch ended, Christopher transitioned to a career in the computer industry, where he worked as an account sales manager at Martec, Inc. He quickly became the company's top performer and employee of the year. In 1989, he joined New Image Industry as Vice President of Design System Marketing and Sales, where he moved the company into 3D rendering/imaging technologies.
In 1991, Christopher co-founded Visual Software, a pioneer in the consumer 3D graphics market. He served as Executive Producer, overseeing production, design, project management, and sales strategy. The company was acquired by Micrografx in January.
Christopher continued to work in the computer industry, holding various executive positions at companies such as Adesso, Integrated Micro Solutions (I.M.S.),and Eskape Labs. In 2000, Eskape Labs was purchased by Hauppauge Computer Works, where Christopher worked as head of the Eskape Labs brand until 2003.
In 2003, Christopher became involved with Casting Networks Inc., an online talent exchange, and served as a consultant to the company. He also participated in various projects, including TV Road Trip, Body Challenge, and The Surreal Life.
Christopher's personal life has been the subject of much attention, particularly his high-profile romance with Adrianne Curry, the winner of America's Next Top Model. The couple married in 2006 and had a son, but divorced in 2013.
Throughout his career, Christopher has been involved in various charitable endeavors, including serving as the spokesperson for the American Counseling Association's "Healthy Skin, Healthy Outlook" campaign and the National Consumer League's "AD/HD Campaign to Inform the Nation."
