Biography

Christopher Dylan Shea, a gifted and promising young thespian, entered the world on February 5, 1958, in the sun-kissed landscape of Los Angeles County, California. As the elder sibling of fellow child actors Eric Shea and Stephen Shea, Christopher's introduction to the world of entertainment was marked by a familial affinity for the spotlight. As a precocious performer, Christopher's early career was punctuated by a recurring role as "Joey Starett" on the short-lived yet captivating western television series Shane, which premiered in 1966 and left an indelible mark on the small screen. In addition to his work on Shane, Christopher's impressive range as a young actor was on full display as he made guest appearances on a variety of esteemed television shows, including the beloved western drama Bonanza, the sci-fi thriller The Invaders, the rustic sitcom Green Acres, and the witty comedy The Odd Couple, thereby cementing his status as a talented and versatile performer of his era.

Christopher is most renowned for his distinctive and enduring voice acting talents, particularly in his portrayal of the endearing and imaginative "Linus Van Pelt" in a collection of cherished Peanuts television specials, specifically the festive and timeless classics "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown", both of which premiered in the mid-1960s and have since become an integral part of popular culture.

Christopher spent an extended period of time, exceeding two decades, in Humboldt County, California, following the conclusion of his acting career. Unfortunately, his life was cut short due to natural causes, resulting in his untimely passing at the age of 52. The tragic event occurred near his home in Honeydew, California, on August 10, 2010.

In his personal life, Christopher was married to his loving wife, Sara Straton, and they shared two beautiful daughters, Nicea and Teal Straton-Shea.
