Vittorio Claudio Masciulli, a man of great adventure and artistic pursuit, was born in the picturesque town of Villamagna, Italy, and embarked on a new chapter in his life by emigrating to Canada in November 1955, boarding the ship Saturna and setting foot in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Before pursuing a career in the arts, Claudio Masciulli had a stint in professional ice hockey in Europe, a passion that would later serve as a foundation for his future endeavors.
It was during the summer of 1977 in Montreal that Claudio's path crossed with none other than the renowned actor Donald Sutherland, who would become a pivotal figure in Claudio's life.
Inspired by Donald Sutherland's words of encouragement, Claudio Masciulli decided to trade in his hockey skates for a script and pursue a career in acting. He enrolled in acting studies at Second City in Edmonton, Alberta, and also honed his craft under the guidance of Mark Schoenberg.
As his skills continued to grow, Claudio Masciulli was invited to join the prestigious Williamson Theatre Company in 1987, where he was involved in the 50th anniversary production of Golden Boy, directed by the esteemed Joanne Woodward.
Today, Claudio Masciulli resides in Toronto, Canada, where he actively pursues film and television projects. One notable highlight in his career was the opportunity to work on the set of Gle, Undesirables, in Rome, Italy, the same location where he first met Donald Sutherland in 1977, a full circle moment that brought back fond memories of their initial encounter.
