Cobie Smulders, a talented individual, was born on April 3, 1982, in Vancouver, British Columbia, to a Dutch father and an English mother. From a young age, Cobie had set her sights on pursuing a career in either medicine or marine biology, with a strong desire to become a doctor or marine biologist. However, it wasn't until she reached high school that Cobie began to explore the world of acting, following her appearance in several school productions.
As a teenager, Cobie's talents did not go unnoticed, and she was discovered by a modeling agency. This led to several years of international travel, with Cobie visiting various countries such as France, Japan, Italy, Greece, and Germany. Despite her burgeoning modeling career, Cobie remained committed to her education, graduating from high school in 2000 with honors.
After completing her high school education, Cobie continued to model internationally until she received the opportunity to audition for film and television roles. Additionally, Cobie appeared in the short film Candy from Strangers (2001),directed by fellow Canadian rising star Eric Johnson.
Cobie's breakthrough in the entertainment industry came just months later when she landed the role of Juliet Droil in the ABC program Veritas: The Quest (2003). This marked her first series role for television, paving the way for her future success in the industry.
