Coda Li Marcus, a multi-talented individual with a passion for the performing arts, was born on June 7, 1998, in the vibrant city of Chicago, Illinois. Raised by his parents, Jim Marcus, a musician and creative director, and Julia, a photographer, Coda was exposed to the world of art from a young age.
Growing up in the Humboldt Park neighborhood, Coda attended Chicago's first public arts high school, ChiArts, where he honed his craft alongside his theatre ensemble from 2012 to 2016. Together, they studied various techniques and collaborated on a wide range of productions, from Shakespearean plays to devised works.
After completing his first year at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC),Coda transferred to the Santa Fe University of Art and Design (SFUAD) in New Mexico, where he continued to develop his skills. However, the university's sudden closure forced him to relocate once again.
Undeterred, Coda persevered and eventually obtained his degree in theatre from California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) in 2023. He then made the move to Hollywood, where he currently resides.
As an actor, Coda has brought his talents to a variety of student, independent, and feature films. His credits include roles in the horror anthology I Dream of a Psychopomp (2021),the film Amicus (2019),and the production of The Rocky Horror Show (2023).
When not on stage or in front of the camera, Coda enjoys going on adventures, staying up-to-date on the latest TV and film releases, and playing video games with friends. With a Gemini's natural curiosity, he is fascinated by a wide range of topics and is always eager to learn more.
Despite the challenges faced by the entertainment industry, Coda remains committed to his craft and hopes to make a positive impact. He dreams of traveling the world, becoming a series regular on The Walking Dead, and establishing his own talent agency.
