Cole Mitchell Sprouse, the talented actor, was born in Arezzo, Tuscany, Italy, to American parents Melanie (Wright) and Matthew Sprouse. He and his identical twin brother, Dylan Sprouse, were raised in Long Beach, California, their parents' native state.
Cole's acting career began at the tender age of six months, when he started sharing the role of Patrick Kelly with Dylan on the ABC series Grace Under Fire from 1993 to 1998. The twins' breakout role came in 2000 when they starred as Julian in Adam Sandler's hit film Big Daddy, which was a huge commercial success.
That same year, they appeared in their second feature film, The Astronaut's Wife, alongside Johnny Depp and Charlize Theron. Cole also made a guest appearance on the popular TV series Friends in 1994, playing Ross's son Ben Gellar.
In the fall of 2003, the brothers shared the lead role of Jeremiah in The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things. After that, they starred together in their own half-hour sitcom on the Disney Channel, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, from 2005 to 2011.
After completing six years on the show, Cole decided to attend New York University and pursue a college education. He remained absent from the entertainment industry until he finished his studies in 2015, graduating with honors.
Cole's return to acting came in 2017 when he landed the role of Jughead Jones on the popular TV series Riverdale, which quickly made him a fan favorite. He also starred in the box office hit Five Feet Apart in 2019, which was one of the highest-grossing non-genre teen movies of the 2010s.
