Cote de Pablo, a talented actress, was born in Santiago, Chile, but her early life was shaped in Miami, Florida, where she spent her formative years. She attended Arvida Middle School, laying the foundation for her future endeavors, before enrolling in Carnegie Mellon University. Her academic pursuits led her to graduate in 2000 with a degree in music theater, having honed her craft through various theater productions during her time at the esteemed institution.
These productions included "Indiscretions," "The Fantasticks," "The House of Bernarda Alba," "And The World Goes 'Round," "A Little Night Music," and "Cloud Techtonics," showcasing her versatility and range as a performer. Her first foray into television was co-hosting the 1994 show Control, alongside Entertainment Tonight host Carlos Ponce.
In 2001, Cote de Pablo took to the New York City Public Theater stage, starring in the Shakespearean play "Measure for Measure." She then transitioned to small-screen roles, including Gina in the ABC series The Education of Max Bickford, where she shared the screen with Academy Award-winners Richard Dreyfuss and Marcia Gay Harden, as well as Golden Globe winner Regina Taylor, veteran actress Helen Shaver, and Katee Sackhoff. In 2004, she starred in the short-lived Fox series The Jury, playing Marguerite Cisneros. The following year, she took on the role of Dolores Fuentes in the stage musical "The Mambo Kings." Her breakthrough role came in 2005 when she was cast as Mossad officer Ziva David in the hit series NCIS, joining an ensemble cast featuring Mark Harmon, Michael Weatherly, Pauley Perrette, David McCallum, Sean Murray, Lauren Holly, Rocky Carroll, and Brian Dietzen.
