Craig Arnold was born on May 28th, 1990, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to Hugh, a professor and consultant, and Clara, Vice President of Human Resources at TVO. He is the youngest of three children and hails from a Hungarian descent family. Craig's early life was marked by an involvement in the arts, as he began playing guitar in bands in Toronto during his teenage years, focusing on blues, RnB, and soul music. In addition to his musical pursuits, he also played competitive hockey throughout his childhood and teenage years.
Craig attended Lawrence Park Collegiate Institute in Toronto before graduating from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, with a degree in Political Science. It was during his time in Halifax that he landed his first television role on the supernatural drama series Haven in 2010, as well as his first film role in Blackbird in 2012.
His breakout role came in 2012 when he joined the cast of the Emmy-nominated teen drama series Degrassi: The Next Generation, playing the troubled Christian hockey star Luke Baker from Florida. Following this, he secured recurring roles on the longest-running Canadian drama series of all time, Heartland, and appeared in his first leading role in a feature film, Wet Bum, which premiered at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival.
Craig currently splits his time between Toronto and Los Angeles, where he continues to pursue his acting career.
