Noted Australian screenwriter and film director, Craig Pearce, has made a lasting impact on the world of cinema through his involvement in the creation of several critically acclaimed and commercially successful films.
One of his most notable works is the 2001 musical romantic comedy-drama, Moulin Rouge!, which co-starred Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor, and received widespread critical acclaim.
Prior to this, Pearce collaborated with Baz Luhrmann on the 1992 dance drama film, Strictly Ballroom, which premiered at the 1992 Cannes Film Festival and received a standing ovation.
