Biography

Next person biography:

Craig Vincent was born and raised in upstate Endicott, New York, a town with a rich history of innovation, being the birthplace of I.B.M. and the Endicott-Johnson shoe factory, and home to notable celebrities like Rod Serling, Amy Sedaris, and cartoonist Johnny Hart. His parents, Mary and Earl, instilled in him the importance of hard work and loyalty, values that would shape his future.

After working part-time at I.B.M. during his high school summers, Craig realized that corporate life wasn't for him. The stress of the job, which contributed to his father's untimely death at 43, convinced him to pursue a more creative path. With the support of his loving mother and doting maternal grandparents, Mary and Joseph Salamida, Italian immigrants who escaped the Fascist dictatorship of Benito Mussolini, Craig was raised with a strong sense of family values.

While on college spring break in Las Vegas, Craig was approached by local casting director Charlene Goldman to work as an extra on a film. This experience sparked his passion for acting, and he was soon mentored by acclaimed method actor and Lee Strasberg Theatre Director, Joseph Bernard. Craig began studying with Bernard at his studio in Las Vegas, leaving behind his life in New York to pursue his dream.

In Las Vegas, Craig learned about the city's hierarchy and the "Junior Mob Men" who believed their money, power, and influence could buy and control anyone. He earned a reputation for never backing down from a fight, which caught the attention of powerful people, including a wealthy and politically connected family who took him under their wing.

After working as a blackjack dealer and stand-out roles in local theatre productions, Craig was encouraged by Joe Bernard to move to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career full-time. With the help of his mentor, Craig landed an agent and booked his first role, but struggled to find fulfilling and creatively satisfying work.

Despite his passion for the craft, Craig struggled to find the right material to elevate his career. He continued to work as a host at the Chippendales night club and honed his craft, but ultimately became disenchanted with the business. Craig remains hopeful that someday he will be given the opportunity to perform in a role that will allow his talent to shine.
