Cynthia Kaye McWilliams, a talented actress, was born in Berlin, Germany, but spent most of her childhood in Kansas City, Kansas. She later moved to Chicago, Illinois, where she graduated from the prestigious Theater School of DePaul University.
After college, Cynthia quickly landed a supporting role in Warner Brothers' The Lake House, followed by a recurring role on the popular TV series Prison Break. She then secured a lead role in the pilot episode of Family Practice and later joined the cast of Chicago Code, another successful FOX series.
Cynthia's big break came when she landed a lead role in a CBS pilot, playing the role of a sitcom wife to Damon Wayans. Although the pilot did not get picked up, she soon found herself starring in the NAACP award-winning comedy The Real Husbands of Hollywood, opposite the hilarious Kevin Hart. She went on to film five seasons of the show and also appeared in recurring roles on Survivors Remorse on Starz, Nashville on ABC, and Bosch on Amazon.
In addition to her television work, Cynthia has also appeared in several pilots, including the NBC drama Love is a Four Letter Word, in which she played the lead role. She also took on the role of sitcom mom Regina in the Netflix series Prince of Peoria, which was taped in front of a live studio audience at the famous Sunset/Gower studios.
Cynthia has also made a name for herself as a voiceover artist, lending her voice to a number of projects, including the animated feature film Bilal, several video games, and multiple characters on Cartoon Network. She has also voiced Gamora in the Disney+ series What If and has narrated several video games, including Valorant and Halo 5.
In her free time, Cynthia enjoys food, wine, and travel, and is a strong advocate for arts education and the creation of content by women and minorities. She has also been involved in several charity projects, including supporting the arts in schools and advocating for diversity and inclusion in the entertainment industry.
