Daniel Attias, a renowned television director, garnered the prestigious DGA's 2009 best drama directing award for his outstanding work on "The Wire" (2002),specifically for the episode "Transitions". This recognition was not his only notable achievement, as he has been nominated for the same category on three other occasions, for his exceptional direction of episodes from "The Sopranos" (1999),"Six Feet Under" (2001),and "Homeland" (2015).
In addition to his dramatic directing endeavors, Attias has also been recognized for his comedic direction, earning Emmy nominations in 2006 and 2008 for his work on "Entourage" (2004),specifically for the episodes "Oh Mandy" and "No Cannes Do".
Attias' educational background is marked by academic excellence, as he graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California, Berkeley. He then pursued acting studies in Los Angeles for three years before enrolling at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA),where he received a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in film production.
