Daniel was born in the Lone Star State, specifically in Texas, and spent his formative years immersed in the world of acting, athletics, and the ancient Chinese martial arts discipline of Wu Shu Kung Fu, in which he holds a prestigious black belt. His academic pursuits led him to the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a degree in finance, a field in which he would later apply his knowledge as a tax accountant. However, his passion for the arts never wavered, and he continued to hone his craft as a model while simultaneously pursuing an acting career.
It was his successful audition and subsequent selection from a pool of 65,000 applicants that landed him a spot on the reality TV show Survivor: The Amazon. This life-changing experience sparked a newfound sense of purpose, and Daniel made the bold decision to relocate to the City of Angels, Los Angeles, in order to fully commit to his acting career.
