Daniela Ruah, a talented actress born to a fascinating family background, was brought into this world in Boston, Massachusetts, to parents of Portuguese descent, Catarina Korn, an audiologist, and Carlos Ruah, an otolaryngologist, both of Jewish heritage. This unique blend of cultures significantly influenced her upbringing, as she spent her early years in the United States until the age of five, whereupon she relocated to Portugal, her parents' homeland, to grow up.
Daniela's early life in Portugal was marked by her attendance at St. Julian's School, where she began to nurture her passion for acting, landing her first role at the tender age of 16. Her dedication to her craft did not waver, as she continued to work while completing her high school education. As she entered adulthood, Daniela made the bold decision to relocate to England, where she pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Performing Arts at the prestigious London Metropolitan University.
Upon completing her degree, Daniela's thirst for knowledge and experience led her to the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York, where she further honed her skills. Her hard work and talent did not go unnoticed, as she soon found herself cast in the role of Special Agent Kensi Blye on the highly acclaimed CBS television series NCIS Los Angeles, a position she held for an impressive 14 seasons. Moreover, Daniela has also ventured into directing, showcasing her versatility and range as a performer.
