Danny Buday is a renowned director, recognized for his work on multiple thriller feature films for the Lifetime network. His credits include Bound by Blackmail, Crazy, Rich, and Deadly, Killer in Suburbia, The Ex Next Door, and Dating To Kill.
In addition to his thriller films, Danny has also directed several holiday movies, including Christmas on the Ranch, Country Christmas Album, and Second Chance Christmas. Furthermore, he has worked on the kids' adventure film Paws P.I. for Lionsgate.
Danny's most notable achievement is the award-winning war drama Battle Scars, which he wrote and directed. The film stars Zane Holtz, Heather McComb, Ryan Eggold, Fairuza Balk, and David James Elliott. Battle Scars won the Jury Award for Best Feature at the G.I. Film festival and was released theatrically nationwide by distributor Gravitas Ventures and the Showtime network.
Danny's feature directorial debut was the successful indie film 5 Star Day, starring Cam Gigandet and Jena Malone. 5 Star Day won the Jury Award for Best Feature at the Stony Brook Film Festival in New York and was the Opening Night Gala Film at the Newport Beach Film Festival. Additionally, it was the Closing Night Film of the Beverly Hills Film and New Media Festival, where Danny received the award for Best Directorial Debut of a Feature Film.
Prior to his feature film work, Danny attended the American Film Institute (AFI) masters directing program, where he wrote, directed, and composed the score for the award-winning AFI thesis film Dependency. Dependency was an official selection of the Camerimage Film Festival and voted Best Student Film at the Dallas Film Festival.
Danny holds an MFA in Directing from the American Film Institute and a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from California State University at Long Beach. He currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.
