Dasha Charusha, a multi-talented individual, was born on August 25th, 1988, in Norilsk, Soviet Union. Growing up, she was deeply passionate about music and theatre, dedicating most of her early years to honing her craft.
At the age of 18, Dasha enrolled in the prestigious Moscow Conservatory, where she studied as a composer. She began composing her own songs at a young age, laying the foundation for her future success.
In addition to her musical pursuits, Charusha also had a passion for acting. She attended Moscow Art School GITIS, graduating as a dramatic actress in June 2010. Throughout her early career, she acted in a handful of Russian movies and TV series, simultaneously writing cinema scores and working on her own album.
One of her earliest notable achievements was her co-writing work with Andrey Karasev on the music for the motion picture Silent Souls, which premiered in October 2010 at the Venice Film Festival and received widespread critical acclaim.
In 2014, Dasha took on a new role as the producer for the film "Cold Front," in which she also played one of the female lead roles and wrote the score. The movie was shot in Normandy in December of the same year.
However, it was her work on the action POV film "Hardcore," which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival in September 2015, that truly cemented her status as a global phenomenon. Directed by Ilya Naishuller, the film saw Dasha take on both acting and scoring duties, resulting in a worldwide success that catapulted her to international stardom.
