Person Biography:
Datari Turner is a renowned feature film producer with over 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry. He has worked alongside some of the biggest names in the industry, producing close to 30 feature films, making him one of the most prolific independent producers today.
Turner's impressive filmography includes "Another Happy Day" and "Salvation Boulevard", both of which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2011. He also produced "LUV" which premiered at Sundance in 2012, and "Ten Thousand Saints" and "Gook" which premiered at Sundance in 2015 and 2017 respectively.
In addition to his film work, Turner has also ventured into television, producing over 100 hours of original programming for networks such as WEtv, BET, TVOne, Starz, and the Oxygen network. His most recent television credits include "Love Thy Sister" and "Growing Up Hip-Hop", both of which he created and executive produced.
Turner has received numerous accolades for his work, including the prestigious Audience Award at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival for "Gook". He has also signed a First Look deal with CodeBlack/Lions Gate Films and a First Look Television Producing Deal with Entertainment One.
Turner currently resides in Beverly Hills, California and serves on the board of The Black House Foundation. He is an alum of the ABC/Disney program and is repped at CAA.
