Dave Goelz, a seasoned expert in the realm of puppet design and performance, was initially recruited by Jim Henson and his team to craft Muppets for various television projects during the early 1970s. As Jim Henson and Frank Oz began laying the groundwork for the iconic television program "The Muppet Show", they successfully persuaded Dave to join their ranks as a puppeteer. Soon, he became an integral part of the team, bringing to life a plethora of memorable characters, including the one-of-a-kind Great Gonzo and the brilliant, yet eccentric, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew.
He has since evolved into a principal Muppeteer and one of the most skilled and accomplished talents associated with the esteemed Jim Henson Company.
