David has enjoyed a prolific career in television, landing series regular roles in numerous comedies and dramas, while also collaborating with esteemed directors such as Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, Paul Greengrass, Shawn Levy, Robert Zemeckis, Michael Patrick King, Gary Winick, and George Nolfi, among others.
Throughout his screen credits, David has played a wide range of characters, including those who have shared romantic moments with Julia Roberts, stolen Tom Cruise's wife, berated Brooke Shields, and married and divorced Debra Messing. He has also snubbed Sarah Jessica and Mr. Big, showcasing his versatility as an actor.
However, David's impressive on-screen resume belies his extensive background in theatre, where he has honed his craft as a trained actor with significant stage experience. He has shared the stage with the legendary Eli Wallach in a highly acclaimed two-character play, performing eight shows a week for over a year. Additionally, his star turn in the powerful play "SnakeBit" earned him rave reviews from the New York Times, with the publication describing him as "sensational in the role, a brash and sensitive bull-in-a-psychic-china shop."
Recently, David has branched out into feature film production, starring in and producing two films: "Egg" alongside Christina Hendricks, Anna Camp, Gbenga Akinnagbe, and Alysia Reiner, and "Equity," a Sony Pictures Classics hit Wall Street thriller featuring Anna Gunn and James Purefoy.
David has also had a long-running role on TV Land's "The Exes" alongside Donald Faison and Wayne Knight, and has made guest appearances on various television shows, including "Blacklist," "Blue Bloods," "NCIS: New Orleans," and more.
In addition to his acting career, David is a passionate environmentalist, and he and his wife, actress Alysia Reiner, have used their own home as a platform to raise awareness about sustainable living. Their brownstone renovation in Harlem was featured on TV shows such as "World's Greenest Homes" and "Renovation Nation," as well as in various magazines, including Dwell, Gotham, and The Nest. The couple also allowed the environmentally friendly construction process to be documented on websites like Dwell.com and Kohler.com.
David is committed to supporting various charitable organizations, including The Cancer Support Community, Habitat for Humanity, Our Time Theatre Company, Actors for Autism, and the Joyful Heart Foundation.
