David Dastmalchian, a talented individual with a unique blend of experiences, hails from the heartland of America, specifically the state of Kansas. With a passion for the performing arts, he relocated to the vibrant city of Chicago, Illinois, to hone his craft at The Theatre School, DePaul University. Upon completing his academic pursuits, David embarked on a series of unconventional career paths, showcasing his versatility and adaptability.
He traded the stage for the open waters, working as a professional fisherman in the rugged and majestic state of Alaska. This stint was soon followed by a stint as a circus performer, no doubt honing his physicality and agility. As if that weren't enough, David also found himself working as a movie theatre usher, no doubt developing his ability to multitask and provide exceptional customer service.
However, his creative juices were not satiated, and he returned to his artistic roots, taking on the role of playwright. This multifaceted individual is also an ensemble member of Shattered Globe Theatre Company and Caffeine Theatre in Chicago, a testament to his dedication to his craft and his commitment to the Chicago theatre scene.
