David Del Rio is a multifaceted Latinx individual who has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry as an actor, director, producer, and writer.
He has appeared in and developed numerous notable film, television, and theatre productions, showcasing his versatility as a performer.
One of his recent notable roles is as a series regular 'Billy' in the CBS drama "Matlock", where he stars alongside Kathy Bates.
Del Rio's professional journey began after graduating from the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, where he landed the part of 'Felix Garcia' on Nickelodeon's "The Troop".
He made his Broadway debut in Lin Manuel Miranda's hit musical "In the Heights" and went on to appear in films such as Universal's "Pitch Perfect", Blumhouse's "The Belko Experiment", and Netflix's "A California Christmas" and "A California Christmas: City Lights".
Additionally, he has been part of critically-acclaimed television events like Fox's "Grease Live!" and starring in ABC's rom-com "The Baker and The Beauty".
David's most recent television work was in Hulu's "Maggie" as co-lead 'Ben' with Rebecca Rittenhouse.
When not in front of the camera, Del Rio dedicates his time to directing feature films, with his films "Sick for Toys" and "Road Head" currently available on Amazon Prime.
He is also the co-founder of production company Theatre Row Productions, alongside his producing partner and wife, Katherine Del Rio, and their first feature film, "The Big Feed", is currently in post-production.
Del Rio is passionate about giving back to the community and is part of the mentoring program, ICouldBe, which provides high school students with an online community of professional mentors, empowering teens to thrive in school and plan for future careers.
In his spare time, he also directs demo reels for students at his alma mater and has recently developed a passion for travel, road tripping across the United States with his wife and backpacking across Europe.
When not busy with work, David dedicates all his time and energy to his role as a father.
Originally from Miami, Florida, Del Rio now resides in Austin, Texas, with dreams of returning to New York City in the future.
