David Fortier, alongside Ivan Schneeberg, holds the esteemed position of Co-Executive Chairman of the Company and Co-Chairman of Boat Rocker Studios. Together, they co-founded the Company in 2003, spearheading the creation and executive production of numerous television series, including the critically acclaimed and commercially successful Orphan Black, Being Erica, and The Next Step.
Under their visionary leadership, Fortier and Schneeberg guided the Company's transformation into a global entertainment powerhouse. Their remarkable achievements have earned them recognition as finalists for the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award (Ontario) in 2012.
Throughout their illustrious careers, Fortier and Schneeberg have received numerous industry accolades for their work as executive producers in television, including the coveted Peabody Award, which they proudly accepted for Orphan Black.
Prior to establishing the Company, Fortier honed his skills as a lawyer in the Entertainment Group at Goodmans LLP. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Toronto.
