David Goldsmith was born on July 19th, 1969, and his life's journey was significantly influenced by his father, Jonathan Goldsmith, an accomplished actor. This early exposure to the entertainment industry sparked a passion within David, and he began his own pursuit of success in the field.
As a young teenager, David started out as a comedy player in LA's first all-teen improv group, "(you've gotta be kidding)", where he honed his skills and developed his comedic talents. For five years, he performed extensively, including an impressive eight-month stint at Hollywood's renowned Laugh Factory.
As he transitioned to stand-up comedy, David also began to land various TV guest-starring roles, showcasing his versatility as an entertainer. Some of his notable credits include appearances on "A Different Affair" (1987),"The New Gidget" (1986),"The Twilight Zone" (1985),and numerous other TV spots.
On his 15th birthday, David landed a starring role on CBS's "Morningstar/Eveningstar" (1986),a pilot that, although it didn't quite take off, served as a valuable learning experience. Undeterred, David continued to pursue his passion for comedy while simultaneously furthering his education.
In addition to his work as a comedian, David has also developed a successful career as a Video Assist Tech, working on both TV and film projects. He aspires to leverage his education and experience to take the next step in his career, with directing being a long-term goal.
