David Ingram, a multifaceted individual with a passion for the arts, was born on March 27th in Bowmanville, Ontario, to Kathryn Fay Ingram and Roger Ingram. His parents, who nurtured his artistic side from a young age, played a significant role in shaping his creative pursuits.
As a child, David spent countless hours at his drawing table, indulging in his love for drawing and painting. He would often stage elaborate plays for his neighborhood friends, recreating iconic scenes from Star Wars, Superman, and James Bond. This early fascination with storytelling and performance laid the foundation for his future endeavors.
Throughout his high school years, David's focus shifted towards visual arts, and he was subsequently accepted into McMaster University's Fine Arts program. However, he made a last-minute decision to switch to the theatre program, where he ultimately graduated with Combined Honours in Theatre and Philosophy.
After completing his education, David relocated to Toronto and landed his first television role in the Sci-fi show Starhunter. This marked the beginning of his television career, which was soon followed by appearances in Doc, Queer As Folk, G-Spot, and Disney's Twitches.
In 2005, David landed his first feature film role, playing the lead character Victor Ventura in the award-winning Canadian superhero fantasy Sidekick. This role catapulted him to stardom, and he continued to appear in various television shows and films, including Time & Again, Stargate, Supernatural, and Smallville.
In 2007, David relocated to Vancouver, where he secured supporting roles in several television features. He continued to excel in his craft, taking on lead and co-starring roles in popular series such as Hiccups, Alcatraz, Almost Human, Cedar Cove, Rush, and Motive.
In 2010, David appeared in the thriller Faces in the Crowd, a feature film directed by French filmmaker Julien Magnat, starring Milla Jovovich. He went on to write and co-produce his first film, Ten Thousand Steps, in which he played the lead character, a heartbroken man who learns that he only has ten thousand steps left to take until he dies.
David has since appeared in a wide range of projects, including the Hallmark series Aurora Teagarden Mystery Movie Series, opposite Candace Cameron Bure, and has a recurring role as Macon Turner in the series. He has also appeared in Reign, Good Witch, Designated Survivor, and will soon be seen in the feature Business Ethics and the recurring role of Mr. Andrews in the highly anticipated CBC/Netflix series Anne, based on the classic novel Anne of Green Gables.
