David Andrew Kaye, a multifaceted and accomplished Vancouver-based creative professional, hails from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, where he initially spent his formative years before his family relocated to Vancouver, British Columbia, a city that would later become his artistic hub.
His early foray into the film industry was marked by a significant role in the Academy Award-winning film Legends of the Fall (1994),where he brought to life the character of Samuel Decker, a performance that would serve as a pivotal stepping stone in his burgeoning career.
David's early years in the entertainment industry were marked by a prolific career as a child actor, with his talents being sought after by numerous productions. As he grew older, he expanded his repertoire by transitioning to voice-over work in the year 2001. One of his most notable voice-over credits during this period was the iconic title character in the animated series Make Way for Noddy, a role he assumed for an impressive 100 episodes.
After a successful stint in the world of voice-over acting, David decided to take a break from the spotlight and focus on furthering his education. Immediately following his graduation, David embarked on a successful career in live performances, taking to the stage in a multitude of productions that garnered widespread acclaim. Among these notable performances was his involvement in multiple award-winning productions of the groundbreaking hip-hop Shakespeare musical, "The Bombitty of Errors", which was showcased in the province of British Columbia.
As David's live performances began to gain increasing momentum and popularity, he simultaneously continued to produce a plethora of music videos through his own production company, Whiskaye Films. In this capacity, he had the opportunity to collaborate with a talented and award-winning writer and director, Tyler Funk, who shared his passion for storytelling and visual artistry. Together, they formed a formidable creative partnership, teaming up with the esteemed production company, North of Now Films, to produce a diverse range of branded digital content and broadcast commercials.
