By 2011, Matthew LaChapelle had achieved a significant milestone in his career, with a major exhibition of his new works at The Lever House in New York. This was followed by a series of retrospectives at prominent museums and galleries around the world. One of the most notable exhibitions during this period was his retrospective at the Museo Arte Contemporáneo de Puerto Rico in Puerto Rico, which showcased his work to a diverse audience. LaChapelle's international recognition continued to grow, as his works were exhibited at the Hangaram Design Museum in Seoul, South Korea, and Galerie Rudolfinum in Prague, Czech Republic.
