David Albert Mazouz is a talented actor, writer, and producer who has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry. Born to a Tunisian father and a Greek mother, he holds American and Spanish citizenship, and his maternal grandparents were Holocaust survivors.
Mazouz began his acting career at the tender age of 7, after attending acting classes with his older sister. He was spotted by an agent and began auditioning, falling in love with the art of entertaining. Born and raised in Los Angeles, he quickly landed his first film role in a movie directed by Edoardo Ponti.
As he grew older, Mazouz continued to book guest star roles for television, working with renowned directors James Burrows and Randall Einhorn. At the age of 9, he landed his first major role as Jake Bohm on FOX's Touch, starring alongside Kiefer Sutherland. Sutherland became a mentor to Mazouz, teaching him not only about acting but also about the industry.
Mazouz's breakout role came when he was cast as a young Bruce Wayne on FOX's Gotham. He played the character from the time of his parents' murder to his transformation into Batman, growing up on screen over the course of the show. During his time on Gotham, Mazouz juggled his schoolwork and personal life, traveling back and forth between New York and Los Angeles to shoot the show.
After Gotham ended, Mazouz attended Stanford University, where he studied Economics and Psychology. During his time at Stanford, he was actively involved in the school's theater scene, performing in five plays and musicals, including an adaptation of Henry IV. He also produced and acted in a production of Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot, and acted in and produced short films.
Mazouz's passion for his work is evident in his dedication to his craft, and he continues to act in theater and film, as well as produce. His diverse range of experiences and skills make him a talented and versatile artist, with a bright future ahead of him in the entertainment industry.
