Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, the actor's journey into the world of performing arts began during his college days, initially as a means to overcome his stammering. However, he discovered that his stutter miraculously disappeared while on stage, and he became hooked on acting.
Over the next several years, he continued to hone his craft, starring in various collegiate productions, and later, transitioning between Boston, London, and New York City, performing in a diverse range of plays, including works by renowned authors such as William Shakespeare, Anton Chekhov, Christopher Hampton, and David Simpatico.
In addition to his work in dramas, he also had the opportunity to tread the boards in musicals and comedies, showcasing his versatility as a performer.
In 1991, he met and married his beautiful wife, Kim Fitzgerald (née Kimberley Ann Fitzgerald),with whom he shares two sons, Liam and Finn. The family has resided in Los Angeles for the past 18 years, allowing him to work with a wide range of talented individuals, including legends such as Valerie Bertinelli, William Schallert, Eva Longoria, Betty White, Miranda Cosgrove, Don Johnson, Ricardo Chavira, Jay Baruchel, Charlie Sheen, James Spader, Robert Urich, Eric Braeden, and Mary McDonnell, to name just a few.
Throughout his career, he has had the privilege of working with esteemed producers such as Steven Bochco, Jerry Bruckheimer, David E. Kelley, Rob Thomas, Marc Cherry, Jonathan Shapiro, and David Gould, among many others.
