Dawan Owens, a Baltimore native, has always had an uncanny ability to captivate audiences with his presence. Standing at an impressive six feet three inches tall, he has never struggled to command attention.
In his high school days, Dawan was a standout athlete, earning a spot on both the University of Pittsburgh's football and baseball teams. When asked if he played football in college, Dawan cleverly responds by asking people to define what they mean by "play". If being on the team is what they mean, then yes, he did play. However, if they're looking for a more technical answer, referring to actual intercollegiate athletic events, Dawan would rather not comment.
After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Dawan embarked on a career in Corporate America, working for an IT consulting firm. Despite his success, he soon realized that his true passion lay in comedy. With a newfound sense of determination, Dawan picked up a microphone and began pursuing his dream. His breakthrough came when he performed on Comedy Central's Open Mic Fight, leading to his first acting job as a Series Regular on the scripted Untitled Bobby Lee Pilot.
Since then, Dawan has continued to work tirelessly, landing a series regular role on the ABC pilot Man of the House, produced by Kerry Washington. He has also appeared in recurring roles on Netflix's The Ranch, OWN's Greenleaf, and Hulu's new show All Night, alongside notable actors such as Alyson Hannigan and Leslie Bibb.
