Dax Spanogle, a talented actor from Virginia, has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry through his diverse range of roles in shorts, features, plays, musicals, and commercials. His journey in acting began at a young age, when he started training at the Haddad Studio.
Dax's love affair with Shakespeare started with his first play, A Midsummer Night's Dream, where he played the roles of Snout and The Wall. Although his second play, Mary Poppins, a musical, did not spark the same passion, he didn't let that deter him from pursuing his passion for acting. In fact, he didn't perform in another musical until he moved to Hollywood.
During his college years, Dax continued to hone his acting skills by performing in two student-directed plays and studying Shakespeare in Oxford. His first film role came while he was attending law school, and his acting career continued to gain momentum from there.
Dax has appeared in a variety of shorts, including Cupidity, 7 Stones, and The Hunting Trip, as well as feature films like The Scrapper, where he had a supporting role as Irish Jim. Under the Boarshead Theater, he has appeared in numerous unique takes on Shakespearean plays, including a well-received performance as Lady MacBeth.
Around this time, Dax met with an agent stationed in Los Angeles, who advised him to try his luck in Hollywood. Heeding this advice, Dax packed up and headed to Los Angeles to continue his acting career.
Since moving to Los Angeles, Dax has continued to study acting with BGB Studios and Saxon Trainor. He has appeared in a range of productions, including the theater production Star Trek Battle Bridge: Aroana Infliction, where he played Dr. Bones McCoy. He has also appeared in a few other productions, including another musical.
Dax's most notable roles since moving to L.A. include the Man in To The Unknown, Andrew in Homebody, and the feature film Generation Sins, where he plays the younger brother Will. His television debut premiered on Netflix with Medal of Honor.
In his free time, Dax enjoys writing scripts, traveling, and revisiting his passion for photography. He has co-written scripts for Generational Sins and the original concept of To The Unknown, and is always looking for new opportunities to grow as an actor and a writer.
