Dean Butler, a multifaceted individual, was born on May 20, 1956, in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada. As a talented producer and actor, he has made a lasting impact on the entertainment industry.
From 1979 to 1983, Butler brought to life the iconic character of Almanzo Wilder in the beloved pioneer drama, Little House on the Prairie. His impressive acting skills also led him to co-star in the feature film, Desert Hearts, and play the role of Moondoggie in the popular syndicated series, The New Gidget.
Butler's versatility as an actor is further demonstrated by his portrayal of Hank Summers, the father of Buffy, in the hit television show, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. His remarkable performances have also been showcased on Broadway, where he played the role of Rapunzel's Prince in the original company of Into the Woods, and toured internationally as Tony in West Side Story.
