Diego Serrano was born in the capital city of Ecuador, Quito. He is a multifaceted individual, exceling in various creative fields as an actor, screenwriter, and producer. His acting career began with a notable stint on the long-running soap opera "Another World" from 1993 to 1997, where he played the role of Tomas Rivera.
In the early 2000s, Serrano starred alongside Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jennifer Gardner on the Fox television series "Time of Your Life" from 2000 to 2002. He then appeared in Nancy Savoca's film "The 24 Hour Woman" alongside Rosie Perez, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, and Tony Award winner Patti Lupone, playing the character of Eddie Diaz.
Serrano's television credits include "The Young and the Restless" where he portrayed Diego Guittierez from 2001 to 2003. In 2005, he starred in the film "The Mostly Unfabulous Social Life of Ethan Green" playing the role of Kyle Underhill, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
In 2008, Serrano appeared in the film "The Ode" based on the novel Ode to Lata by Ghalib Shiraz Dhalla, playing the role of Richard. He has also appeared in numerous other films, including "The Men Who Stare at Goats" alongside George Clooney and Ewan McGregor.
More recently, Serrano has made appearances in various television shows, such as HBO's "Insecure" where he recurs as Nico, as well as "Ray Donovan", "Valor", "Agents of the Shield", "Blackout", "Touch", "CSI: Miami", "Mystery Girl", "24", "Second Chances", and many others.
Currently, Serrano is in development on two projects: "HACKED", an autobiographical thriller co-written and produced by Serrano and Brian Bloom, and "Suit of Lights", an epic entangled love story set in Sevilla, Spain.
