Lan Ding, a talented actress and businesswoman, was born in 1964 in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, China. Her journey in the entertainment industry began in the summer of 1981, when she starred in the iconic film "Shaolin Temple" under the direction of Zhang Xinyan, marking her debut as a solo artist.
In the following year, Lan Ding took on the role of actress Caixia in the film "Shaolin Folk Disciples." The next year, she played the part of a shepherdess in an untitled production. Her performances continued to gain recognition, as she starred in "Shaolin Kid" in 1984, portraying the character Er Feng.
The following years saw Lan Ding take on a variety of roles, including that of the 13th sister He Yufeng in "The 13th Missy" in 1986, Shen Zuochong in "The Dongling Bandit" in 1987, Jacy Spring in "A Dream of Red Mansions" in 1988, and Zhao Xiaowan in an untitled production in 1989.
In 1991, Lan Ding made the decision to relocate to Singapore, where she joined the local entertainment industry. She remained in Singapore until 2001, when she returned to Beijing to pursue a career in business.
