Biography

Dr. Zee Lo's remarkable martial arts journey commenced at the tender age of five, with his grandfather serving as his initial instructor, thus setting the stage for a lifelong passion that would shape his destiny. As a teenager, he embarked on an in-depth exploration of various martial arts disciplines, including Tai Chi Chuan, a slow and meditative practice that emphasizes inner balance and harmony, Wing Chun, a southern Chinese martial art characterized by its focus on close-range combat and efficiency, Choy Li Fat, a hybrid system that combines elements of Shaolin Kung Fu and Northern Chinese martial arts, Northern Shaolin, a style that emphasizes long-range striking and fluid movement, and Western Boxing, a boxing discipline that emphasizes punching technique and physical conditioning. This comprehensive and rigorous training regimen provided a solid foundation for Dr. Zee Lo's future pursuits in the world of martial arts, allowing him to develop a deep understanding of the various styles and techniques, as well as the physical and mental discipline required to master them.

In the early 1980s, Dr. Zee Lo embarked on a courageous journey by relocating to the United States, driven by an unwavering determination to further his academic pursuits. This pivotal decision marked the beginning of a transformative period in his life, during which he had the distinct privilege of being mentored by the esteemed instructors Sifu Dan Inosanto and Sifu Ted Wong.

Dr. Zee Lo's singular focus on his craft was matched only by his unrelenting pursuit of excellence, as he transcended the boundaries of traditional training to explore the realm of professional full-contact bouts, competing at the esteemed Jet Center, a bastion of high-level competition.

His remarkable achievement of claiming the prestigious title of NCAA Boxing Champion serves as a testament to his unwavering dedication, unshakeable perseverance, and unbridled passion for the sport, a true reflection of his unyielding commitment to excellence.
