Ed Perkins is a renowned documentary filmmaker who has garnered numerous international accolades, including Oscar nominations. For the past five years, he has exclusively worked at Lightbox, where he has produced many of his films.
Ed's impressive filmography includes directing documentaries for prominent networks such as Netflix, the BBC, The Guardian, National Geographic, and Channel 4. In 2015, he was recognized as a BAFTA Breakthrough Brit. Following his graduation from the University of North Carolina in 2009, Ed directed behind-the-scenes documentaries for notable films like 'Project Nim', 'The Eagle', the BAFTA-winning 'The Imposter', and the Academy Award-winning 'Searching For Sugar Man'.

In 2018, Ed directed the documentary short 'Black Sheep' for The Guardian, which won 13 international awards and received a nomination for Best Documentary Short at the 91st Academy Awards.
