Eduardo Rodriguez, a talented individual from Caracas, Venezuela, embarked on a journey to hone his skills in the realm of communications at The Catholic University Andres Bello. Subsequently, he pursued further education at The Florida State University Film School to refine his artistic prowess. Prior to his transition to the United States, Rodriguez professionally excelled as an editor and writer in his native Venezuela. His impressive short film, Symbiosis, premiered in 2000 and garnered recognition at the esteemed Verna Field Award for Best Sound Editing in a Student Film. Following his graduation from FSU in August 2001, Rodriguez has been showcasing his thesis film, Daughter, at various prestigious film festivals, including Cinequest in San Jose, where he claimed the award for Best Student Film, and the renowned Cannes Film Festival, where he was selected for competition in the short film category. Daughter has also earned Rodriguez a three-picture deal with Dimension Studios, a subsidiary company of Miramax Films.
