Elmer Bäck, a multilingual actor and writer, was born on October 18, 1981, in Helsinki, Finland.
With a remarkable career spanning over two decades, Elmer Bäck has made a significant impact in the world of theatre and film. After graduating from The Theatre Academy of Finland in 2007, he spent seven years living in Berlin, where he worked with the theatre-group Nya Rampen.
During his time with Nya Rampen, Elmer Bäck had the opportunity to perform at some of the world's most renowned theatre festivals, including Avignon, Berliner Theatertreffen, Wiener Festwochen, and Festival TransAmériques (Montréal). He also toured the whole of France with the French production "Actrice", directed by Pascal Rambert, in 2018.
Elmer Bäck's breakthrough in film came in 2015 with the title role of Eisenstein in Guanajuato by acclaimed director Peter Greenaway. He has since continued to work regularly in film and TV, with notable projects including the TV-series "Jättekiva" and the film "Viimeiset" by director Veiko Öunpuu.
