Biography

Erik Gavica is a multifaceted individual, boasting a career that spans both acting and music. Born in Paramount, California, and raised in South Gate, just east of Los Angeles, Gavica has been acting professionally since the tender age of 19.

Gavica's early foray into acting led to a leading role in Gus Van Sant's production, "Speedway Junkie," starring the talented Daryl Hannah. This film was produced by Randall Emmett and George Furla, providing Gavica with valuable experience in the industry.

Throughout his career, Gavica has made numerous guest TV appearances, working alongside notable actors such as Tyne Daly in "Judging Amy," Anthony LaPaglia in the Jerry Bruckheimer production "Without a Trace," Gary Sinise (Forrest Gump) in "CSI NY," and Christina Hendricks from "Mad Men" in MTV's "Undressed."

Gavica has also had the opportunity to work with esteemed directors, including LeVar Burton on an untitled pilot for MTV, produced by Master P, and on several prime time programs such as "Brothers and Sisters" with Sally Field, and "Mysterious Ways" with Adrian Pasdar and Rae Dawn Chong.

Notably, Gavica landed a recurring role in David E. Kelly's hit production, "Boston Public." He has also appeared on the long-running "Moesha" show with Brandy, popular cop show "Pacific Blue" with Mario Lopez, and the indie film "Higher Ed" with Pras from the Fugees.

Gavica's more recent endeavors include appearing in "Gotta Kick it Up!," Disney's first ever live-action Latino-based film, starring America Ferrara ("Ugly Betty," "Real Women Have Curves") written by Josefina Lopez. He has also participated in Lopez's theater group, Casa 101.

In addition to his acting credits, Gavica is also a talented musician, and is currently working on his own project, "Strings of Steel," a feature film that combines his passion for music with his love of film. As an accomplished electric guitarist, Gavica has a solid reputation in the L.A. music scene, and is set to release his debut album (untitled) simultaneously with "Strings of Steel."
