Freddie Joe Farnsworth was born to Win and Brenda Farnsworth in Muncie, Indiana, but spent his formative years growing up in Pinedale, Wyoming. This upbringing instilled in him a deep passion for rodeos, as he went on to become an accomplished IPRA bareback and saddle bronco rider, exceling in all rodeo events and showcasing his exceptional horse-riding skills in both Western and English disciplines.
After completing his high school education, Freddie enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in May 1985, where he was stationed with the 1st Battalion, 7th Marines until July 1991. During his time in the Marines, he underwent rigorous training at Camp Pendleton, honing his skills as a troop handler and weapons and tactical instructor. Freddie's dedication and bravery were put to the test during his deployments to both Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
Upon receiving an honorable discharge as a Sergeant in December 1994, Freddie returned to Casper, Wyoming, where he worked as a truck driver and sales representative for Butane Power and Equipment until April 1996. However, his true calling lay in the world of entertainment, and he began working on the film Starship Troopers (1997),a role that has remained a staple of his career to this day.
Freddie's military background and extensive rodeo experience have made him an in-demand actor and military advisor, with credits including the film Spy Game (2001) and occasional stints as a stuntman for "Stunt Grunts," a company founded by Raleigh Wilson. His professional network has led to lasting friendships with fellow industry professionals, including Max Martin, for whom he doubled as a stunt performer on the TV series The Unit (2006),and Jake Busey, whom he met during the filming of Starship Troopers.
Freddie currently resides in Los Angeles, with occasional stints in London during filming. He shares his life with his two daughters, Linda and Brenda, who are both now attending university. Freddie's family is rounded out by his beloved horses and dogs, a testament to his enduring love for the great outdoors and his commitment to his family.
