Frédéric Anscombre's journey in the world of performing arts began at the tender age of 14, when he took to the stage in Molière's "L'Avare" at his high school in Saint Germain en Laye, a charming town situated just beside the vibrant city of Paris, where the great Louis XIV was born.
Before discovering his passion for acting, Frédéric's first craft was music, specifically the saxophone and jazz, which he fell in love with at the age of 11. This early fascination would later lead him to take on the artistic direction of a record label.
However, it was an encounter with the renowned director and partner of Lee Strasberg at the Actor's Studio, Jack Garfein, that would mark Frédéric's return to the world of acting.
From that point on, Frédéric went on to appear in a plethora of successful French television series, including H, Profilage, No Limit, R.I.S, Les Bleus, Magellan, Les Toqués, and many more. He also made a memorable appearance in the final season of the hit television show "Sex and the City".
In addition to his work on television, Frédéric has also made a name for himself in French cinema, working under the direction of Eric Valette in "Une Affaire d'Etat" and Nicolas Boukhrief in "Gardiens de L'Ordre". He also appeared in the 2006 feature film "Love And Other Disasters", produced by David Fincher and directed by Alek Keshishian, alongside the late Brittany Murphy.
Frédéric's talents extend beyond the realm of acting, as he is also a skilled practitioner of the Japanese martial art of Shorinji Kempo. He has obtained two European championship titles and holds a 6th Dan in the discipline.
The actor has also had the opportunity to tread the boards once again, participating in two productions by the renowned director Robert Hossein at the Théâtre De Paris, one of the city's most prestigious theatrical venues.
In recent years, Frédéric has continued to work in film, appearing in the 2015 production "Puerto Ricans In Paris", directed by Ian Edelman and starring Luis Guzman and Rosario Dawson. He followed this up with a role in the 2016 film "Overdrive", directed by Antonio Negret and co-starring Scott Eastwood.
